Doug Clark is a Spokane native and lead singer for Trailer Park Girls, a band featuring Clark’s original pop/rock songs. He retired in 2017 from Spokane’s daily newspaper, The Spokesman-Review, after writing three columns a week for 34 years. His popular humor and general interest columns won scores of local, state and regional journalism honors along with three awards from the National Society of Newspaper Columnists and Columbia University’s Peter Tobenkin Award for human rights writing. In 1971, Clark was signed to a small record label and recorded “Two Good Hands,” a gospel album with Bob Hoover, his friend and bandmate. Clark lives in his hometown with Sherry, the love of his life and wife of 46 years. They have two great kids: Ben (Heather), Emily (Shane), and Ronan, the planet’s sweetest granddaughter.
